Evil D started his humble beginnings spinning hand-me-down drum & bass records on a pair of old American Audio vinyl turntables, passed down to him from veteran DJ Moldylox. Starting on vinyl and using old turntables that wouldn’t keep pitch gave him an edge when he finally moved on to using CDJs.
Evil D made his footprint in the Maritime bass scene by competing in DJ competitions. Carving his way with his signature gritty style, he managed to take top placements in numerous competitions such as Reflections Selektah Showdown (1st), DJ Olympics (3rd), and The Palace DJ Battles (1st). Since then, he has been booked to headline in multiple provinces, has opened for such artists as Joe Nice, Elite Force, A Skillz, and Mt Eden, and is regarded as a staple of the Halifax dubstep scene.
After spending years with his main focus being DJing, he started to become more involved in the production side of things. He now produces everything from hip hop beats to drum & bass, with multiple releases on the way.
