Common Ground was born from the realization that music we love is more alike than it is different. The brainchild of Jana Greenstone and Pachelle, Common Ground is a performing act and underground party series with roots in Toronto and Hamilton. The Common Ground sound oscillates fearlessly between deep and enchanting to dark and rolling drum’n’bass, with occasional forays into jungle territory.

Since its inception in September 2023, Common Ground has hosted several tastefully curated underground nights. These events have featured some of Toronto and Hamilton’s most renowned drum’n’bass, jungle, and techno acts. Common Ground’s most recent party was in collaboration with The Prophecy, the world’s longest-standing drum’n’bass radio show.

As a performing act, Common Ground leverages the DJ, radio host, and production experience of Jana Greenstone and Pachelle to deliver energetic yet thoughtful sets, as is evidenced by their recent performance for Lately Bass Radio (hosted by Kelmo and Sean Roman) on Toronto’s institutional ISO Radio. Pachelle brings a wealth of experience from sharing the stage with veterans such as LSB, Rusko, Critical Impact, and Mrs. Magoo, as well as hosting a monthly show on Subtle Radio. Jana Greenstone steps up with a recent performance at Future Forest under her belt, along with release credits on Omen Recordings, Crisis of Man, Ekstasis, and Lazuli Records.

This year, Common Ground is ready to unveil the next chapter of their story — Common Ground Records — with their debut release slated for April 2025.
