Jonathan David is a Canadian underground house music artist specializing in tech house and tribal techno. Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Jonathan has been calling the Maritimes home for over ten years.

When it comes to describing this man for the purpose of a bio, it’s pretty simple — an artist with a straight-up, no-bullshit attitude behind the decks and in the studio. Having dedicated his life to electronic music since 1996, he has been involved in all areas of promotions, studio production, and DJ performance, and has stuck to his guns throughout the commercialization of dance music around the world. His DJ sets have always been described as emotional performances that exploit tribal drums, heavy rhythms, and rolling basslines that invoke the senses of any hardcore music lover. His sets have been heard throughout North America, Mexico, and some of the oldest nightclubs in Europe.

Along with DJing for the last 27 years, Jonathan has also been busy at work in the studio with releases on some of today’s elite underground record labels. He has produced for labels such as Younan Music (USA), Elrow Music (ESP), Cloning Sound (BGR), and Todd Terry’s InHouse Records out of New York City. He is also co-owner of Cueca Recordings with partner Matt McLarrie.

Over the years, Jonathan has had appearances at Evolve, Future Forest, Vibrancy Festival, and last year had the honor of performing for the first time at Electric Pines Music Festival. Jonathan is very excited to return this year bigger than ever — see you in the Pines.
